NY Kummooyeh is headed by Master Il Nam Yang, Vice President of USA Kummooyeh, as established by the World Kummooyeh Federation under founder Grandmaster Ilseong Bouk Soo Joung.​ Master Yang is known for his high quality and practical training. NY Kummooyeh is one of the first sites around the world now promoting proper Kummooyeh with the USA Kummooyeh Federation.

Master Yang holds an 9th degree black belt in the World Chang Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do Federation, 5th degree black belt in Hapkido, 7th Degree black belt in Haidong Gumdo, a black belt in Daehan Gumdo, and a 3rd degree black belt in Krav Maga.  He is Co-Founder of United Krav Maga Association providing both civilian and law enforcement training.  Master Yang also holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is a module 3 instructor in the Patriot Knife System and has multiple certifications as an NRA Instructor and is a NRA Range Safety Officer.
